Catherine Deneuve still shines

I just watched the French film, Apres Lui starring the great Catherine Deneuve. It reminded me of just how deep Deneuve's talent runs.

Deneuve plays Camille, a women whose twenty year old son is tragically killed in an auto accident. To deal with her grief, Camille surrounds herself with the things her son left behind--his favorite CD's, a beloved cat, and then, his best friend Frank.

Frank, who was behind the wheel of the car when his friend died, is grateful that Camille reaches out to him. But as the months go by, Camille's charity takes a darker turn. In life, the line between love and obsession is never really very wide. In Apres Lui, that line is brilliantly explored.
